Why BIOFACH matters
For more than three decades, BIOFACH has been the meeting point of the global organic sector. Each February, Nuremberg gathers certified producers, processors, importers and retailers from across the world, alongside the certification bodies and associations that set the standards the industry works to. For anyone serious about organic ingredients, it is the event where the year's direction becomes visible.
What makes BIOFACH different from a general food fair is the entry requirement: exhibitors must be certified organic. That filter turns the show floor into a qualified marketplace — every conversation starts from a shared baseline of certification, and moves quickly to the questions that actually matter: scope, traceability, documentation and supply reliability.
Why we are present
Europe is one of the most demanding organic markets in the world, and its buyers are right to be demanding. Regulation (EU) 2018/848 sets a high bar, and European quality teams expect a supplier to prove — not assert — the organic status of the exact product being purchased.
Being physically present at BIOFACH matters for three reasons:
- Trust is built in person. Organic sourcing is a long-term relationship built on documentation and consistency. Meeting a buyer's quality team face to face shortens what would otherwise be months of email.
- The product speaks for itself. Color, aroma and texture of a freeze-dried açaí powder cannot be evaluated in a PDF. At the stand, buyers can see and taste the difference between formats.
- We learn what the market needs next. Trends in the European organic sector reach the show floor before they reach the category reports.
What we are showing in Nuremberg
Our focus at BIOFACH is the organic Amazonian range: freeze-dried açaí (100% fruit), spray-dried açaí, evaporated açaí (RWD), acerola as a natural vitamin C source, plus camu camu, cupuaçu, pitaya, maqui and guaraná. Every product travels with its specification sheet, batch Certificate of Analysis and organic certificates.
Our organic status is verifiable: New Acai Amazonas LLC is a USDA-NOP certified handler, and at origin our açaí and acerola are certified to Regulation (EU) 2018/848 by the control body ECOCERT SAS. Ingredients are sourced farm-direct from a dedicated 3,500-acre certified organic farm in Óbidos, Pará, in the heart of the Amazon.
